Manuel Villegas
Manuel Villegas Besora was born in Barcelona in 1941 and earned his doctorate in psychology.
He served as professor at the University of Barcelona from 1974 to 2013.
A founding member and decade-long president of the Spanish Association of Cognitive Psychotherapies (ASEPCO), he also directed the Journal of Psychotherapy from 1990 to 2014.
His extensive therapeutic experience spans individual, group, and couples therapy.
His notable publications include El error de Prometeo, Prometeo en el diván, El proceso de convertirse en persona autónoma, and Parejas a la carta, co-written with Pilar Mallor for Herder Editorial.
