Katie Kitamura is an acclaimed novelist whose most recent work, Intimacies, was named one of The New York Times' 10 Best Books of 2021 and appeared on Barack Obama's favorites list.
The novel was longlisted for the National Book Award and PEN/Faulkner Award, and won France's Prix Litteraire Lucien Barriere.
Her previous novel, A Separation, was a New York Times Notable Book.
Kitamura has received the Rome Prize in Literature and fellowships from prestigious foundations.
Her work has been translated into over twenty languages and is being adapted for film and television.
She teaches creative writing at New York University.
