Michael Castleman is a San Francisco-based journalist and novelist with an extensive body of work spanning over 2,000 newspaper, magazine, and web articles, 14 consumer health books, and several novels, including three previous Ed Rosenberg mysteries.
Holding an MA in journalism from UC Berkeley, where he also taught, Castleman spent 18 years working to publish The Untold Story of Books.
Despite selling over 2.25 million copies of his nonfiction works combined, he candidly acknowledges that his annual book royalties have often been minimal, reflecting the very publishing realities he examines in his writing.
