Michelle Young is an award-winning journalist, author, and professor whose work appears in The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, Hyperallergic, The Forward, and Narratively.
She earned her undergraduate degree from Harvard College in the History of Art and Architecture and holds a master's degree from Columbia University's Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, where she currently teaches as a Professor of Architecture.
Young founded the publication Untapped New York.
Her passion for WWII history stems from family connections—her grandfather survived the Hiroshima bombing.
She divides her time between New York City and Paris.
