Michael Pryor is a prolific Australian author born in Swan Hill, Victoria, who currently lives in Melbourne.
He has published over thirty-five novels and more than sixty short stories appearing in publications like Overland and the New South Wales School Magazine.
His diverse writing spans literary fiction, science fiction, and humor.
Pryor has been shortlisted eleven times for the Aurealis Award for Speculative Fiction and nominated for a Ditmar award.
Before his writing career, he worked various jobs including truck driver, teacher, and internet consultant.
He taught English, Literature, Drama, Legal Studies, and Computer Studies.
He also hosts a fantasy podcast called "The World Below the War in the Heavens.".
