Rivka Galchen
Rivka Galchen, born in 1976, is a Canadian-American writer and physician whose literary career began with her acclaimed 2008 debut novel, Atmospheric Disturbances.
Recognized for her sharp intellect and distinctive voice, she was named one of The New Yorker's 20 best writers under 40 in 2010.
Galchen currently serves as an adjunct professor in the writing division of Columbia University's School of the Arts.
