Zeyn Joukhadar is a Syrian American author whose writing explores immigrant experiences, Muslim identity, and queer and transgender narratives.
His debut novel, The Map of Salt and Stars, won the 2018 Middle East Book Award.
His second novel, The Thirty Names of Night, earned both the Lambda Literary Award and the Stonewall Book Award, and was adapted into an immersive theatre piece for Noor Theatre Company in New York City.
His work has appeared in Electric Literature, Salon, and The Paris Review, and has been included in several anthologies.
He has received two Pushcart Prize nominations.
