Joe Vallese is a writer, editor, and academic based in New York.
He edited It Came From The Closet: Queer Reflections on Horror and co-edited What's Your Exit? A Literary Detour Through New Jersey.
His creative and pop culture writing has appeared in publications including BOMB, VICE, Southeast Review, and North American Review.
A Pushcart Prize nominee and Best American Essays notable for "Blood, Brothers," Vallese currently serves as clinical associate professor in the Expository Writing Program at NYU. He previously worked with the Bard Prison Initiative and holds an MFA from NYU and MAT and BA degrees from Bard College.
