Tamika Thompson is a Bay Area-based author and former journalist with a diverse creative portfolio.
Her debut novel, The Curse of Hester Gardens, is published by Erewhon/Kensington.
Her short story collection, Unshod, Cackling, and Naked, won the 2024 Next Generation Indie Book Award for Horror and received acclaim from Publishers Weekly.
She has also authored Salamander Justice and served as fiction editor for the anthology Graffiti.
Her work appears in publications including Prairie Schooner, Interzone, and The New York Times.
She holds degrees from Columbia University and the University of Southern California and is an active member of HWA, SFWA, and ITW.
