Belinda Bauer is a British journalist and crime novelist who spent her childhood in both England and South Africa.
She studied journalism at Cardiff University and worked in the field for seven years before turning to fiction writing.
Bauer also worked as a screenwriter, earning the prestigious Carl Foreman/BAFTA Award for Young British Screenwriters for her script "The Locker Room," presented by Sidney Poitier.
She has been longlisted for the Booker Prize and is known for creating original, psychologically complex crime narratives.
Bauer currently resides in Wales, where she continues writing.
