Niranjanananda Saraswati was guided by his guru, Swami Satyananda Saraswati, from birth, joining the Bihar School of Yoga in Munger at age four.
Initiated into Dashnami sannyasa in 1971, he spent eleven years abroad establishing Satyananda Yoga centers across Europe, Australia, and the Americas.
Returning to Munger in 1983, he led Bihar School of Yoga's activities, becoming a paramahamsa sannyasin in 1990 and spiritual successor to Swami Satyananda in 1995.
A prolific author on yoga, tantra, and the Upanishads, he skillfully blends tradition with modernity while continuing his guru's mission.
