Bernhard Hennen, born in 1966 in Krefeld, is a trained Germanist, archaeologist, and historian who studied at the University of Cologne.
He began his career as a journalist before co-authoring his first novel in 1994, which won an award for best German fantasy novel.
Hennen has since written approximately 25 historical and fantasy novels, as well as short stories.
He has received recognition for his work, including a scholarship for his historical novel "Die Könige der ersten Nacht." Beyond writing, Hennen has developed storylines for computer games and created award-winning adventure modules for fantasy role-playing games.
He is married with two children and resides in Krefeld.
