Catherine Chidgey
Catherine Chidgey is an acclaimed New Zealand novelist and short story writer.
Her works have garnered international recognition, including multiple awards such as the Prize in Modern Letters, the Katherine Mansfield Award, and the Acorn Foundation Fiction Prize.
Chidgey's novels, including "In a Fishbone Church," "Golden Deeds," and "The Wish Child," have received critical acclaim and prestigious nominations.
She has been longlisted for the Orange Prize and the Women's Prize for Fiction.
Raised in Wellington, Chidgey studied at Victoria University and in Berlin.
She currently resides in Cambridge and serves as an Associate Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Waikato.
