David N. Perkins is a founding member of Harvard Project Zero, a research initiative at the Harvard Graduate School of Education exploring human symbolic capacities.
A longtime co-director and now senior co-director, he researches creativity, reasoning, problem solving, understanding, and the teaching of thinking skills.
Perkins has contributed to curriculum projects across multiple countries, including Colombia, Israel, South Africa, and Australia, and was instrumental in developing WIDE World, a distance learning model.
