Michael Thomas Osterholm is an American epidemiologist born March 10, 1953.
He serves as regents professor and director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota.
Osterholm earned his B.A. from Luther College and received his M.S., Ph.D., and M.P.H. from the University of Minnesota.
A member of the Institute of Medicine, he has received numerous prestigious awards including the Harvey W. Wiley Medal, the Squibb Award, and the Wade Hampton Frost Leadership Award.
He has been appointed to Biden's COVID Task Force and regularly appears as a trusted media expert.
