Sophie Ward
Sophie Ward is an accomplished British actress and writer who holds an Open University degree in Literature and Philosophy and a PhD in the use of narrative in philosophy of mind from Goldsmiths College, where she now works.
Her academic background deeply informs her creative work.
Ward won the 2018 RA and Pin Drop short story award for "Sunbed," and published A Marriage Proposal through The Guardian in 2014.
Her debut novel, Love and Other Thought Experiments, was published by Corsair in February 2020 and longlisted for the Booker Prize in July 2020, showcasing her unique ability to blend philosophical inquiry with literary fiction.
