Suzanne Mettler
Suzanne Mettler is the John L. Senior Professor of American Institutions in the Government Department at Cornell University.
An accomplished scholar of American politics and policy, she has authored multiple influential books examining government programs, educational inequality, and democracy.
Her works include The Government-Citizen Disconnect, Degrees of Inequality: How The Politics of Higher Education Sabotaged the American Dream, and The Submerged State: How Invisible Government Programs Undermine American Democracy.
Mettler's scholarship has earned prestigious recognition, including a Guggenheim Fellowship and a Radcliffe Institute Fellowship.
She was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2017.
