Rochelle Alers was born and raised in Manhattan, New York, and holds degrees in Sociology and Psychology.
Publishing since 1988, she has become one of today's most prolific African-American authors of romance and women's fiction, with over fifty titles and nearly two million copies in print.
Her work regularly appears on bestseller lists and has earned numerous awards including the Gold Pen Award, Emma Award, Romantic Times Career Achievement Award, and Zora Neale Hurston Literary Award.
She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and enjoys gourmet cooking, traveling internationally, and needlework.
She currently lives on Long Island.
