Sidney Greidanus
Sidney Greidanus (born 1935) is an American pastor and biblical scholar recognized as one of today's most influential voices in biblical preaching.
He earned degrees from Calvin College and Calvin Theological Seminary, completing his Th.D. at the Free University in Amsterdam.
After serving as a Christian Reformed Church pastor, he taught at Calvin College and The King's College before joining Calvin Theological Seminary as professor of preaching in 1990.
Greidanus is particularly renowned for his work on preaching Christ from Old Testament texts, developing methodologies that balance historical-grammatical interpretation with Christocentric exposition while avoiding allegorical excess.
