Francis Paul Wilson is a New Jersey-born author and part-time practicing family physician who writes primarily in science fiction and horror genres.
His debut novel, Healer, was published in 1976, with his first sales made in 1970 to Analog magazine.
He gained international recognition with his 1981 horror novel The Keep, helping define the genre throughout the decade.
In the 1990s, Wilson diversified into medical thrillers and multimedia, co-creating FTL Newsfeed, which aired daily on the Sci-Fi Channel from 1992 to 1996.
He is also well known for his Repairman Jack series.
