Tanya Guerrero is a Filipino-Spanish author who has called the Philippines, Spain, and the United States home.
She currently lives in a shipping container home near Manila with her husband, daughter, and rescued animals.
A passionate animal welfare advocate since 2008, she focuses on Trap/Neuter/Return and Rescue/Foster/Adopt initiatives.
Farrar, Strauss and Giroux BYR published her three acclaimed middle grade novels — How to Make Friends with the Sea, All You Knead is Love, and Adrift — which earned Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selections and a Gourmand Award.
Her adult debut, Cat's People, was published by Delacorte/Penguin Random House in April 2025.
