Robert Jervis is the Adlai E. Stevenson Professor of International Affairs at Columbia University, where he has served on the faculty since 1980.
A highly decorated scholar, he received the 1990 Grawemeyer Award for Ideas Improving World Order and the 2006 NAS Award for Behavior Research Relevant to the Prevention of Nuclear War.
He served as president of the American Political Science Association in 2001 and is a member of both the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
His work spans international politics, security affairs, and complexity in political life.
