Gráinne O'Hare is a Belfast-born writer currently based in Newcastle upon Tyne.
She has received significant recognition for her work, including a Northern Debut Award for Fiction from New Writing North and Arts Council funding for completing her first novel.
Her short stories have been shortlisted for prestigious competitions including the Francis MacManus Short Story Competition and the Bridport Prize, and she placed in the top three of the Benedict Kiely Short Story Competition.
O'Hare holds a PhD in eighteenth-century women's life-writing from Newcastle University and serves as media sub-editor of Criticks reviews for the British Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies.
