Rudolf Steiner
Rudolf Joseph Lorenz Steiner was an Austrian occultist, social reformer, and claimed clairvoyant who founded anthroposophy, an esoteric spiritual movement rooted in German idealist philosophy and theosophy.
Initially recognized as a literary critic, he published The Philosophy of Freedom before developing his "spiritual science" approach, attempting to synthesize Western philosophical clarity with spiritual questions.
His work evolved through three phases: philosophical inquiry, artistic collaboration including building the Goetheanum cultural centre, and applied projects like Waldorf education, biodynamic agriculture, and anthroposophical medicine.
Though influential, many of his ideas are considered pseudoscientific and pseudohistorical.
