Ben Lerner is an acclaimed American poet, novelist, and critic born and raised in Topeka, Kansas.
A graduate of Brown University with a B.A. in Political Theory and an MFA in Poetry, he gained early recognition with The Lichtenberg Figures, winning the Hayden Carruth Prize.
His poetry collection Angle of Yaw was a National Book Award finalist.
His debut novel, Leaving the Atocha Station, earned widespread critical acclaim and won the Believer Book Award.
A Fulbright Scholar who studied in Madrid, Lerner has taught at Brooklyn College and is the son of renowned psychologist Harriet Lerner.
