Candice Fox
Candice Fox is a Sydney-born crime author raised in a large, unconventional family shaped by her parole officer father and foster-carer mother.
Immersed in stories of violence and madness from childhood, she channelled her fascination into crime and gothic fiction writing.
After brief stints in the Royal Australian Navy and high school teaching, she pursued multiple degrees and now lectures in writing at the University of Notre Dame, Sydney, while completing a PhD in literary censorship and terrorism.
Her debut novel, Hades, won the Ned Kelly Award and established her as a leading voice in Australian crime fiction.
