Nelio Biedermann
Nelio Biedermann grew up on the shores of Lake Zurich, Switzerland.
His paternal family descended from Hungarian nobility, and his grandparents fled to Switzerland in the 1950s — an experience that directly inspired his debut novel.
Biedermann currently studies German literature and film studies at the University of Zurich, influences clearly reflected in his cinematic narrative style and dense literary references.
His debut novel has been sold for publication in over twenty countries, earning nominations for prestigious prizes including the Swiss Book Prize 2025, and winning the title of Favorite Book of Independent Booksellers 2025.
