Robert McCammon is an American author from Birmingham, Alabama, best known for his work in the horror genre.
Writing under his full name and occasional pseudonyms, he produced beloved classics throughout his career before taking a personal hiatus to focus on family.
Upon returning to writing, he shifted his focus toward historical fiction, most notably through the Matthew Corbett series.
The tenth and final installment, Leviathan, was published in December 2024 across multiple formats.
McCammon continues to reside in Birmingham, Alabama, where his literary career began.
