William Walker Atkinson (1862-1932) was an American attorney, publisher, and author who pioneered the New Thought movement.
After experiencing mental and physical breakdown, he discovered New Thought principles which restored his health.
He wrote under numerous pseudonyms including Theron Q. Dumont and Yogi Ramacharaka, producing over 100 books in 30 years.
Atkinson founded magazines like New Thought and Advanced Thought, established the Atkinson School of Mental Science, and served as president of the International New Thought Alliance.
Despite his prolific output and past recognition, his use of pseudonyms contributed to him being largely forgotten today.
