Colin Henry Wilson, felsefe, psikoloji ve okült konular üzerine yazdığı eserlerle tanınan İngiliz bir yazardı.
Leicester’da doğan Wilson, 16 yaşında okulunu bıraktı ve çeşitli işlerde çalışırken yoğun bir şekilde okumaya devam etti.
Asıl çıkışını, edebiyat ve kültürdeki toplumsal yabancılaşmayı ele alan "The Outsider" (1956) adlı eseriyle yaptı.
Wilson’ın sonraki çalışmaları ise insan psikolojisinin olumlu yönlerine, doruk deneyimlerine ve genişlemiş bilinç hallerine odaklandı.
İnsan merkezli psikolog Abraham Maslow ile mektuplaştı ve G.I. Gurdjieff hakkında yazılar kaleme aldı.
Wilson, günlük bilincin sınırlı olduğunu ve daha yüksek bilinç durumlarına erişmenin tam anlamıyla yaşamak için elzem olduğunu savundu.
