John Banville
William John Banville is an acclaimed Irish novelist born in Wexford, known for his precise, forensic prose style and dark humor.
Though compared to Proust and Nabokov, he cites W.B. Yeats and Henry James as primary influences.
His literary achievements include the 2005 Booker Prize for The Sea, the James Tait Black Memorial Prize, Franz Kafka Prize, and Prince of Asturias Award.
Banville has published numerous novels including "The Revolutions Trilogy" and "The Frames Trilogy," and writes crime fiction under the pseudonym Benjamin Black.
