Daniyal Mueenuddin was raised between Lahore, Pakistan, and Elroy, Wisconsin, giving him a uniquely bicultural perspective.
A Dartmouth College and Yale Law School graduate, he practiced law in New York before dedicating himself to writing.
His stories have appeared in prestigious publications including The New Yorker, Granta, and Zoetrope.
His debut short story collection, In Other Rooms, Other Wonders, earned the Story Prize and was a finalist for the National Book Award and Pulitzer Prize.
He now lives and farms in Pakistan's southern Punjab, drawing directly from that experience in his writing.
