Paul Murray is an Irish novelist who studied English literature at Trinity College, Dublin.
His debut novel, An Evening of Long Goodbyes, was shortlisted for the Whitbread Prize in 2003.
His second novel, Skippy Dies, received critical acclaim, being longlisted for the 2010 Booker Prize.
The Mark and the Void won the 2016 Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize for comic literature.
Murray is known for his wit, dark humor, and ability to capture authentic voices, particularly of young people.
His 2023 novel The Bee Sting was shortlisted for the Booker Prize and won several awards including the Nero Gold Award.
