Polly Samson
Polly Samson is a British author who has written three novels and two collections of short stories.
Her most recent novel, A Theatre for Dreamers, achieved number 2 on The Sunday Times bestsellers list.
She has also written introductions for new editions of Charmian Clift's works Mermaid Singing and Peel Me A Lotus, published in April 2021.
Samson is married to musician David Gilmour of Pink Floyd and has contributed lyrics to his music.
Her deep connection to the subject matter of A Theatre for Dreamers is evident through her extensive research into the lives of the real artists and writers who inhabited Hydra during the 1960s.
