Priscilla Morris is a British author of Cornish-Bosnian heritage living in Monaghan, Ireland.
She grew up in London, spending childhood summers in Sarajevo.
Her debut novel was inspired by her family's experience as refugees during the 1992-1996 siege of Sarajevo, particularly her great-uncle Dobrivoje Beljkasic, a Bosnian landscape painter.
The book was shortlisted for the 2023 Women's Prize for Fiction and translated into multiple languages.
Morris holds a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia and studied Spanish, Italian, and Social Anthropology at Cambridge.
She teaches creative writing online and runs writing retreats in Catalonia.
