Ruth Druart grew up on the Isle of Wight and studied psychology at Leicester University, developing a lifelong fascination with human personality and motivation.
In her early twenties, she moved to Paris, where the city's rich and troubled history inspired her writing career.
She teaches there and runs a writing group.
A decade ago, she completed a Masters in International Education focusing on Third Culture Kids — a theme central to her debut novel.
Her second novel, The Last Hours in Paris, featuring a German soldier during the occupation, was published in January 2023.
