Anica Mrose Rissi
Anica Mrose Rissi is an author and storyteller from Maine who now resides in New Jersey.
She writes picture books, chapter books, middle grade, and YA fiction.
Rissi is known for her energetic presentations and writing workshops for students of all ages.
She teaches in the Writing for Children & Young Adults MFA program at Vermont College of Fine Arts.
As a former book editor, Rissi has extensive experience in the writing process.
She has published essays in The Writer magazine and the New York Times.
Rissi is also a musician, playing fiddle and writing lyrics for the band Owen Lake and the Tragic Loves.
