After working as Colorado's hog farm inspector, she turned to writing science textbooks for homeschool families, publishing over two hundred workbooks.
In 2012, she began writing fiction and quickly became a New York Times bestseller, appearing on the USA Today Bestseller's List eighteen times within three years.
Her audiobooks have received multiple Voice Arts Award and Audie Award nominations.
She has sold millions of books worldwide and lives on a Colorado ranch with her family.
