Talal Itani
Talal Itani is an electronics engineer, software developer, and writer born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1961.
He immigrated to the United States at 18 for education, earning a Master's in Electrical Engineering in 1983.
After working in telecommunications, he encountered the Quran in 1992 and spent 15 years studying it before creating his own English translation.
Published in 2012, his translation is praised for its clarity and faithfulness to the Arabic original.
Itani continues to develop software and maintain his Quran translation while living in the US with his family.
He founded ClearQuran.com and SureQuran.com to share his work.
