Tim Downs is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Indiana University.
He created the syndicated comic strip Downstown, which appeared in over 100 daily newspapers worldwide from 1980 to 1986.
Downs has authored seven mystery/suspense novels, including PlagueMaker, which won the Christy Award for best CBA mystery/suspense novel in 2006.
Less than Dead was a finalist for the 2009 Christian Book Award in suspense fiction.
He resides in Cary, North Carolina, with his wife Joy, and they have three adult children.
Downs' work combines his background in cartooning with his talent for writing suspenseful novels.
