Torey L. Hayden
Torey L. Hayden is a child psychologist, special education teacher, and author known for her non-fiction books based on her experiences with special needs children.
Born in 1951 in Montana, she attended Whitman College in Washington.
Hayden's books cover topics such as autism, Tourette syndrome, sexual abuse, and selective mutism.
In 1980, she moved to Wales and married a Scot named Ken, with whom she had a daughter, Sheena, in 1985.
Now divorced, Hayden has written numerous non-fiction books and three fiction works.
Her most famous book is "One Child," which preceded her move to Wales.
