Vali Nasr is an Iranian-American academic and foreign policy expert born in Tehran in 1960.
He immigrated to the United States after the 1979 Iranian Revolution, having previously studied in England.
Nasr completed his undergraduate studies at Tufts University, followed by a master's degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and a PhD in Political Science from MIT. As the son of renowned Iranian scholar Seyyed Hossein Nasr, he has established himself as a prominent voice on Middle Eastern affairs, Islamic politics, and U.S. foreign policy.
