Key Takeaways

1. Getting Rich is Your Right and Duty

It is perfectly right that you should desire to be rich; if you are a normal man or woman you cannot help doing so.

Desire for more. The inherent nature of life is expansion and fuller expression. This natural urge manifests in humans as a desire to know more, do more, and be more, which requires having more resources. To live a complete and successful life, fulfilling your potential in mind, soul, and body, you need money to access the things necessary for development and expression.

Duty to maximize. It is not only your right but also your duty to yourself, to God, and to humanity to make the most of yourself. You can render no greater service than to become all that you are capable of becoming. Being rich provides the means to express your talents, do greater good, and contribute to the power, elegance, beauty, and richness of life.

Beyond mere survival. Being truly rich means having all you can use to live the fullest life you are capable of living, not just being satisfied with a little. This desire is not greed but the call of your spiritual essence seeking expression. Embrace the study of getting rich as the noblest and most necessary study for fulfilling your potential.

2. The Universe Operates by Exact Laws

This whole universe is operating by law, not by accident.

Laws are immutable. The universe is governed by precise, natural laws, as exact as those in algebra or arithmetic. These laws, such as Vibration, Perpetual Transmutation, Relativity, Polarity, Rhythm, Cause and Effect, and Gender, operate in coordination and cannot be altered or disregarded. Understanding and obeying these laws is essential for acquiring riches with mathematical certainty.

Subject to consequences. While humans have the power of choice, this does not grant freedom from the consequences of those choices. Ignorance of the law does not provide exemption from its effects; the law operates continuously and holds everyone to strict accountability. Living in harmony with these laws leads to success, while disregarding them leads to undesirable outcomes.

Attraction is secondary. The Law of Attraction, while powerful, is a secondary law stemming from the primary Law of Vibration, which states everything moves. Your thoughts, especially those emotionally charged, determine your vibration, and you attract what vibrates in harmony with you. A negative vibration attracts negative outcomes, while a positive vibration attracts positive ones.

3. Thought is the First Principle of Creation

Thought is the only power which can produce tangible riches from the Formless Substance.

Formless Substance thinks. All things are made from one original, thinking, formless substance that permeates the universe. This substance moves according to its thoughts, and a thought of form within it produces that form. Man, as a thinking center capable of original thought, can impress his thoughts upon this substance to cause the creation of the things he thinks about.

From higher to lower. Creation, as we experience it, is the manipulation of energy, moving from a higher state (thought/spirit) to a lower state (physical form). Every form in nature is the visible expression of a thought in Original Substance. Man's ability to originate thought allows him to cooperate with this Formless Intelligence, working "with the Father" to bring new forms into being.

Hold the truth. Every thought of form held in Thinking Substance causes its creation, often along established lines of growth, but direct creation is possible if no existing channels exist. To prevent negative appearances (like poverty or disease) from manifesting, you must use your will to hold the thought of the truth (abundance, health) against opposing appearances. This requires power and leads to mastery.

4. Life Seeks Expansion; Desire is Natural

That which makes you want more money is the same as that which makes the plant grow; it is Life, seeking fuller expression.

Inherent urge to grow. Every living intelligence has an inherent desire for increase of life; life, in the act of living, must increase itself. This principle is seen in nature, where a single seed produces many more. Consciousness is continually expanding, knowledge is increasing, and talents cultivated lead to the desire for more.

Desire is possibility seeking expression. Every desire is the effort of an unexpressed possibility within you seeking expression without through your action. It is power seeking to manifest. The desire for riches is simply the capacity for larger life seeking fulfillment, driven by the same life force that makes a plant grow.

God's desire for you. It is the desire of God that you should get rich, not for selfish pleasure, but so that He can express Himself better through you by having plenty of things to use. The universe and nature are friendly to your plans for increase, wanting you to have everything you can use for living the most abundant life. Your purpose must harmonize with this universal purpose of increase.

5. Attract Riches Through Vibration and Action

Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but create that reality.

Vibration dictates attraction. Everything is energy, vibrating at different frequencies. Money, buildings, and businesses are all energy. Your thoughts and emotions determine your personal vibration or frequency. You can only attract to you that which vibrates in harmony with the frequency you are on.

Thinking from the end. To attract what you want, you must impress the thought of your desired outcome on the Thinking Substance by holding a clear mental image with absolute certainty. This is not just thinking of something, but thinking from the state of already having it, entering into the wish fulfilled. This determined imagination is the beginning of all miracles.

Connect thought with action. While thought is the creative power, you cannot rely on thought alone. You must connect thought with personal action. The mental image sets the vibration and attracts the necessary resources and opportunities, but you must act on these as they come to you. Failure to act on the guidance received is a common pitfall.

6. Master Your Mind with Your Higher Faculties

An educated person is a person who has so developed the faculties of their mind that they may acquire anything they want, or its equivalent, without violating the rights of others.

Beyond the senses. While sensory faculties connect us to the physical world, our higher intellectual faculties connect us to the nonphysical, spiritual world of infinite potential. These faculties—perception, will, imagination, memory, intuition, and reason—are the tools for mind development and understanding the spiritual side of our personality.

Unlock your genius. We are all geniuses, but this genius is unlocked by developing and utilizing these higher faculties, which are often neglected in traditional education. Thinking, the highest function, allows us to tap into spirit, pull together ideas, and build concepts. Perception allows us to change how we look at things, thereby changing what we look at.

Intuition and memory. Intuition is the mental faculty that picks up vibration and translates it, providing guidance and insights. It can be developed by focusing conscious attention on others and being receptive. Memory is perfect and can be developed through exercise, allowing access to vast amounts of information.

7. Use Your Will to Stay Focused on Your Vision

Use your will to keep yourself thinking and acting in the Certain Way.

Compel yourself. The legitimate use of the will in getting what you want is to compel yourself to think and do the right things, holding yourself to the right course. This is crucial because your senses are constantly bombarded by negative information from the outside world and your own limiting paradigm.

Guard your thoughts. Since your beliefs are shaped by what you observe and think about, you must use your will to guard your thoughts and focus attention on what you want, not on opposing pictures or past troubles. Dwelling on poverty or lack will mentally class you with the poor and check the movement of good towards you.

Knowledge vs. ignorance. Ignorance leads to doubt, worry, fear, anxiety, depression, and disintegration. Knowledge, gained through study and understanding universal laws, is the polar opposite of worry and the key to freedom. Use your will to choose knowledge, understanding, and faith based on that understanding, rather than allowing ignorance to control your thoughts and actions.

8. Gratitude Connects You to the Source of Abundance

The whole process of mental adjustment and atonement can be summed up in one word, gratitude.

Harmonious relation. To convey the idea of your wants to the Formless Substance, you must relate yourself to the Formless Intelligence in a harmonious way. This mental adjustment and atonement (forgiveness, release) is achieved through deep and profound gratitude.

Draws blessings. Believing in the Intelligent Substance, that it gives you what you desire, and relating to it with gratitude draws your mind into closer touch with the source of blessings. The more gratefully you focus on the Supreme, the more good things you receive, and the more rapidly they come.

Shifts vibration. Gratitude is an emotional and spiritual exercise that shifts your vibration, aligning you with the creative energies of the universe. It focuses you on the good, prevents falling into competitive thought, and helps you feel the good you desire as already present on the spiritual and intellectual planes, knowing it must manifest physically.

9. Act in a Certain Way, in Harmony with Law

The ownership of money and property comes as a result of doing things in a certain way; those who do things in this Certain Way, whether on purpose or accidentally, get rich; while those who do not do things in this Certain Way, no matter how hard they work or how able they are, remain poor.

Consistent action. Getting rich is not primarily a matter of environment or innate ability, but the result of doing things in a "Certain Way." This way involves acting in harmony with universal laws, particularly the law of cause and effect, and aligning your actions with your thoughts and vision. Like causes always produce like effects.

Beyond thought alone. While thought is the creative power, you must not rely on thought alone. You must connect thought with personal action. Scientific metaphysical thinkers often fail by not linking their vision with concrete steps. You must get out and make it happen, ensuring your actions are congruent with the results you desire.

Orderly progression. When your mind is in an orderly state, focused on your goal and in harmony with law, your thoughts and desires proceed in an orderly procession. You move towards the good you desire, and it moves towards you. This requires conscious control over your thinking and behavior, replacing old, random actions with purposeful ones.

10. Change Your Paradigm, Change Your Results

A paradigm is a mental program that has almost exclusive control over our habitual behavior.

Programmed behavior. Paradigms are deeply fixed habits in your subconscious mind, built from infancy through conditioning from your environment. They control almost all of your habitual behavior, affecting your perception, use of time, creativity, effectiveness, and logic. If your results are not good, it's likely your paradigm is controlling you.

Superior knowledge, inferior results. Many people have intellectual knowledge of how to succeed but fail to apply it because their paradigms dictate their actions. This leads to confusion and frustration. To change your results, you must change your paradigm, which requires conscious effort and the use of your intellectual mind to control your emotional mind.

Break the cycle. The cycle of looking at present results, letting them dictate negative thoughts and feelings, and producing more of the same results is a cycle of doom. To break free, you must start by thinking of what you want, building a clear image, getting emotionally involved, and letting that vision dictate your actions and attract new, improved results.

11. Set C-Type Goals Beyond What You Know

You want to set a goal that causes you to go where you’ve never been.

Beyond comfort zones. A-type goals are things you already know how to do, and B-type goals are things you think you can do if conditions are right. C-type goals are those you truly want but have no idea how to achieve. These are the goals that cause you to stretch, grow, and go where you've never been before.

Fantasy, theory, fact. Creation moves through stages: starting with fantasy (imagining what's possible), turning it into a theory (using reason to believe it's attainable), and finally making it a fact (through belief, decision, and action). You must dare to fantasize big, even if you don't know the 'how'.

Belief is prerequisite. There's a difference between wishing for something and being ready to receive it. Readiness comes from believing you can acquire it, not just hoping or wishing. When your state of mind is belief, you fuse with the possibility, operating on a higher frequency where the goal must manifest, even if the steps are not yet visible.

12. Give More Use Value Than Cash Value

Give every man more in use value than you take from him in cash value; then you are adding to the life of the world by every business transaction.

Creative vs. competitive. True wealth accumulation comes from operating on the creative plane, not the competitive one. On the competitive plane, people fight over a fixed "pie." On the creative plane, you focus on making the pie bigger, adding to the life of the world through every transaction.

Law of Compensation. The amount of money you earn is in exact ratio to the need for what you do, your ability to do it, and the difficulty of replacing you. Focus on increasing your ability and becoming a master at what you do. This increases your value and makes you difficult to replace, naturally increasing your compensation.

Service leads to reward. You don't have to drive sharp or unfair bargains. You can give everyone more in use value (how much the product or service benefits them) than you take in cash value. This principle ensures that your wealth comes from contributing to the lives of others, aligning your financial success with the universal purpose of increase and greater good.
