Ideas clave

1. God is Supernatural and Revealed by His Spirit, not Human Reason.

To receive revelation from God is to see as He sees, to hear as He hears, and to perceive as He perceives.

Unseen reality. The most significant unseen reality we must discover is the spiritual realm of our supernatural God. While the natural realm is subject to time, space, and matter, the supernatural realm operates above these laws, being permanent, invisible, and eternal, and exercising dominion over the natural. Human intellect alone cannot grasp God; He must reveal Himself through revelation, which is an "uncovering" or "disclosure" (apokalypsis) to our spirits, enabling spiritual perception.

Humanity's lost perception. Originally, humans were created to walk in God's supernatural power, but the Fall disconnected them from the spiritual realm, leading to reliance on natural, mental knowledge. This "carnal mind" struggles with anything it cannot explain, often rejecting divine truth. Intellectual pursuits, while valuable in society, become enemies of truth when they attempt to displace divine revelation, leading to skepticism and a lack of supernatural experience.

Faith as a probe. God provided faith as the "probe" to access and "see" into the spiritual realm, allowing us to act on received revelation. Without continuous divine revelation, people remain uninformed about the supernatural, relying on formal education that often discredits faith. God's intention was never to remain a mystery, but to be known intimately through His Spirit, the only channel to His wisdom and knowledge.

2. The Cross of Jesus is the Only Legal Source of Supernatural Power.

The message of the cross is the only source of the manifestation of God’s supernatural power.

Ultimate power source. True supernatural power is found in the revelation of Jesus Christ's cross, symbolizing His complete redeeming work. This includes His physical torture and death, His spiritual death (bearing all human sin and iniquity), and His glorious resurrection. The cross is not merely a symbol but the basis for absolute and total provision for mankind—mentally, emotionally, materially, financially, and spiritually.

Divine exchange. At the cross, a perfect divine exchange occurred: Jesus took our place, suffering the punishment we deserved for our disobedience. In return, we receive His righteousness and the blessings of His obedience. This means:

  • He was wounded for our transgressions, so we are forgiven.
  • He carried our sicknesses, so we receive healing.
  • He became sin, so we are justified.
  • He died, so we share His eternal life.
  • He carried our curse, so we are blessed.
  • He paid for our poverty, so we are prosperous.
  • He suffered our shame, so we partake of His glory.
  • He suffered rejection, so we are accepted.

Grace unleashed. Through His sacrifice, Jesus released God's supernatural grace—the undeserved divine power that enables us to do what we cannot in our own strength. Rejecting the cross's centrality leads to legalism, a human effort to please God through rules, which ultimately falls under "the curse of the law." Preaching Christ crucified and resurrected is the only way to see God's supernatural power confirmed with miracles, signs, and wonders.

3. Faith is the First Dimension to Accessing the Supernatural "Now."

Faith is not in the future, because faith is not “going” to be; faith is now.

Beyond natural limits. Faith is the first dimension of the supernatural, enabling us to access the eternal realm where all things exist and are complete in the perennial "now." It is our response to God's revealed mind, allowing us to operate in and exercise dominion over time, space, and matter. Unlike presumption or optimism, true faith is a firm conviction, an assurance of unseen realities, given by God Himself, as human nature cannot generate it.

Time compression. Living by faith means breaking the laws of time, space, and matter. While the natural realm is subject to curses and limitations, faith allows God's future provision to invade our present. For example, a 30-year mortgage can be paid off in 5 years, or a lifelong illness can be healed instantly, because faith activates God's supernatural power to accelerate natural processes.

Action and revelation. Faith is always "now" and requires action. It feeds on impossibilities, perceiving as real what is not yet seen by the natural senses. Continuous revelation from God is essential to move "from faith to faith," as knowledge determines the level of faith one can operate in. Without fresh revelation, faith stagnates, and manifestations cease.

4. The Anointing Empowers Believers to Do God's Work.

The anointing is God doing His work through our humanity.

Divine enablement. The anointing is the second dimension of the supernatural, representing the ability God gives believers to accomplish ministry in His name. In the Old Testament, it consecrated priests and kings; in the New, it's the Holy Spirit's enablement for every believer to fulfill their calling. There's a personal anointing for individual purpose and a corporate anointing, a thousand times stronger, poured out when believers unite in Christ.

Ingredients of power. The holy anointing oil's ingredients prophetically symbolize what's required for the anointing:

  • Myrrh: Suffering, the price paid for the anointing.
  • Cinnamon: Firmness and stability of Christian character.
  • Cane: Gifts of the Holy Spirit and submission to divine authority.
  • Cassia: Prayer, praise, and worship.
  • Olive Oil: The Holy Spirit, making the anointing tangible and transferable.
This anointing sets us apart, consecrating us for service and preparing us for God's glory.

Purpose and transfer. God anoints us not for selfish gain, but to bless others: to heal the sick, cast out demons, preach the gospel, and exalt Jesus. This anointing can be imparted or transferred through various means like books, preaching, laying on of hands, or personal association. However, familiarity, criticism, or dishonoring a man or woman of God's mantle can cause one to lose the anointing, as it requires recognition, reception, honor, and service.

5. God's Glory is His Manifest Presence, Accelerating the Supernatural.

Faith calls the anointing, but the anointing calls the glory.

Intrinsic essence. God's glory (kabowd/doxa) is the intrinsic essence of His presence, the atmosphere of heaven itself. In the beginning, Adam lived in this glory, where his mind functioned at 100%, and there was no sickness or death. After the Fall, humanity lost this constant manifestation, but God desires to restore us to this dimension through Christ.

Creative power. God's glory provides the necessary energy to create any matter. When His glory manifests, everything in the natural accelerates, and the supernatural appears. This means instantaneous creative miracles—new organs, bones, or even reversal of "incurable" diseases—can occur. This happens when God moves His Holy Spirit and acts on His Word, calling forth a visible manifestation of His glory.

Transition and knowledge. The transition from the anointing to the glory requires revealed knowledge (epignosis), an intimate, practical understanding of God. While the anointing operates by human initiative through gifts and faith, glory works by divine initiative, demanding greater humility and dependence on God. This generation is called to be pioneers, hungering for God's glory, willing to pay the price to see the greatest demonstrations of His presence ever seen, impacting nations.

6. Miracles, Signs, and Wonders are Essential Proof of a Living God.

You can know that Jesus lives by seeing Him perform the same miracles He did while He walked on earth.

Christianity is life. The Bible is a book of miracles, from Genesis to Revelation, showcasing a supernatural God. Jesus' entire ministry was a torrent of miracles, and He delegated this mission and power to His followers. Without miracles, Christianity risks becoming just another dead religion, unable to offer an unbelieving world tangible proof of a living, resurrected Christ.

Definitions and purpose:

  • Healing (iasis, therapeia, iama): A progressive or instantaneous cure, making one whole. It's a legal right for believers, not just a gift.
  • Miracle (dunamis): A visible, spontaneous, and sudden divine intervention that interrupts natural laws. It's an instantaneous event, often creating something new.
  • Sign (semeion): An indication or seal, demonstrating God's love, verifying His messengers, and glorifying Jesus.
  • Wonder (teras): Something unusual that amazes spectators, leading them to receive the gospel.
  • Casting out demons: A visible manifestation of God's kingdom, dethroning Satan's control and bringing life.

God's validation. God confirmed Jesus' ministry with miracles, signs, wonders, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, and He validates our ministries similarly. These supernatural acts are not isolated events but should be a lifestyle, declared and received to remain. They serve to testify to Jesus' deity, speak allegorical truths of the kingdom, persuade people to seek God, expand the kingdom in hostile territories, foster church growth, win souls, challenge skeptics, and prove Jesus is alive.

7. Avoid Substitutes that Undermine God's True Supernatural Power.

Religion is the result of not having an experience with God.

Enemies of the supernatural. Four mind-sets oppose the supernatural: ignorance (lack of revelation), secular humanism (elevating human reason above God), the "spirit of Jezebel" (control, false teaching), and the spirit of rebellion/witchcraft (manipulation, nullifying the cross). These lead people to seek powerless substitutes for God's power.

Common substitutes:

  • Rigid laws/regulations: Replace love and grace, leading to legalism.
  • Traditions: Nullify the Word of God, failing to produce new life.
  • Administrators replacing apostles/prophets: Prioritize programs over power.
  • Human ability: Replaces God's grace, leading to burnout and ineffectiveness.
  • Uninspired theology: Replaces revelation, becoming carnal intellect.
  • Reason and logic: Replace living by faith, limiting God.
  • Intellectual education without character: Creates well-educated adversaries of God.
  • Psychology/psychiatry: Replace spiritual discernment, dealing with symptoms, not roots.
  • Man-made programs: Replace the leading of the Holy Spirit, leading to powerlessness.
  • Eloquence/entertainment: Replace demonstration of power, failing to transform hearts.
  • Motivational preaching: Replaces the message of the cross, lacking transformative power.

Spiritual balance. To avoid these pitfalls, believers must achieve spiritual balance between:

  • Power and Character: Both are essential; character honors the gift, but power is not a reward for perfection.
  • Power and Authority: Authority is the lawful right to exercise power; imbalance leads to diminished results.
  • The Word and the Spirit: Both are needed for transformation; grieving or quenching the Spirit hinders flow.
  • Revival and Harvest: Revival (God's presence) must lead to gathering souls; otherwise, it's in vain.
  • Words and Actions: Jesus both "did and taught"; faith without works is dead.

8. Consistent Prayer Life Fuels Supernatural Manifestations.

If we take hours with God, it will take only minutes to resolve the issues of men.

Foundation of power. A consistent, personal prayer life is fundamental for moving in the supernatural. Jesus' continuous and persistent prayer was the main force behind all His miracles, signs, and wonders. His intimacy with the Father empowered His public ministry, allowing Him to declare healing rather than pray for it in the moment, having already won the battle in prayer.

Prayer's impact:

  • Opens the heavens for divine intervention.
  • Manifests God's power everywhere.
  • Empowers choices, like selecting disciples.
  • Fills with power to heal and deliver.
  • Causes God's power to permeate even clothing.
  • Produces authority and anointing for others to heal.
  • Awakens a desire to pray in disciples.
  • Teaches persistence in prayer.
  • Produces zeal for God's house.
  • Sustains faith in trials.
  • Leads to victory over death and resurrection.

Atmosphere of miracles. Men and women of God who walk in the supernatural "walk on their knees," knowing that hours spent in God's presence through prayer, worship, and studying His Word create a supernatural atmosphere. This atmosphere provides specific instructions from the Holy Spirit on how to minister, making it easier for God's power to manifest and for prophetic words and revelations to be released.

9. Cultivate a Spiritual Atmosphere through Thanksgiving, Praise, and Worship.

Praise until the spirit of worship comes; worship until God’s glory manifests.

Building God's throne. To flow in the supernatural, offering God continual thanksgiving, praise, and worship is essential. These are not mere rituals but central aspects of prayer that build a "throne" for God, allowing His glory to manifest.

  • Thanksgiving: Recognizes God's goodness and is the key to loosening His supernatural power.
  • Praise: Proclaims God's greatness and powerful deeds with joyful, extravagant celebration, breaking spiritual barriers.
  • Worship: Recognizes God's majesty, sovereignty, and glory, expressed through humble reverence and submission, often with physical postures.

Glory's manifestation. When worship is heartfelt and genuine, God's glory descends, indicating His habitation. This presence loosens the seals of revelation, enabling prophetic gifts and creative miracles. Inadequate or unholy worship, however, can prevent God's presence from manifesting, as sin acts like "spiritual gravity," weighing us down and preventing ascent to higher levels of His presence.

Discernment and response. We must learn to discern the spiritual atmosphere of a place, declare what we perceive, and then receive what is loosened. This requires an active response, not passive waiting. God's power is always present, but it is only received by those who respond with faith and expectancy, regardless of what human reason dictates.

10. The Church is Called to Continue Jesus' Miracle Ministry with Boldness.

When God tells us to do something, it is because He is not going to do it for us.

Our delegated mission. The book of Acts marks the beginning of the church's ministry, continuing Jesus' work on earth. As the "body of Christ," we are called out (ekklesia) to establish God's spiritual government and authority. Jesus, as the Head, has a purpose and mission, but the body must obey and execute it. This includes proclaiming the gospel with visible demonstrations of power, making disciples, healing the sick, and casting out demons.

Beyond words. While John the Baptist announced Jesus' coming, Jesus initiated a new phase of divine power, demonstrating the kingdom with miracles. Today, the church must not only preach truth but also demonstrate God's supernatural power. A gospel without miraculous evidence is merely a dead religion, unable to persuade an unbelieving world.

Supernatural lifestyle. Miracles, signs, and wonders should be a normal occurrence, a lifestyle, not isolated events dependent on famous evangelists. They are our credentials, confirming our ministries and challenging skeptics. To operate in this, we must put aside human reason, allow the anointing to be attracted to our faith, declare miracles with conviction, and act with supernatural boldness, knowing that as we "go," signs will follow us, and we ourselves will become living signs of Jesus' power.
