Ferdia Lennon was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland.
He holds a BA in History and Classics from University College Dublin and an MA in Prose Fiction from the University of East Anglia, academic foundations clearly evident in his debut novel.
His short fiction has appeared in The Irish Times and The Stinging Fly, and he received Literature Bursary Awards from the Arts Council of Ireland in 2019 and 2021.
His debut became a Sunday Times bestseller, was adapted for BBC Radio 4, and won both the Waterstones Debut Fiction Prize 2024 and the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize for Comic Fiction.
He now lives in Norwich.
